Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Why should I choose one of the companies listed on Animal-Trapping.com?
  1. These professionals generally have years of experience, specialize in pest or wildlife control and are often affiliated with National Organizations with a Code of Ethics.
  2. However, we always recommend that you ask lots of questions about the work to be done, what type of warranty can be expected, etc.
  3. If you are not comfortable with some of the answers, always get additional bids from other professional companies, especially if a sizable amount of money is to be spent.
  4. Check with your local Better Business Bureau. Often your State Department of Agriculture is the licensing agency and may have additional information for you.

2. What should I look for in a company?
  1. Be sure you understand the extent of the work necessary to solve the problem, the price and the terms of payment.
  2. Know what type of warranty is extended for the work and what you must do to keep the warranty in force.
  3. Be sure the company has liability insurance to cover any damages to your property and furnishings. If your state requires licensing, make sure the company is licensed.

3. However, buy Value, not price. You generally get what you pay for! Beware of companies that offer bargains that sound too good to be true.

4. What Happens to Captured Animals?

We care about the welfare of wild animals. State and Federal Laws and Regulations what can and cannot be done. In some situations the animals cannot be relocated and must be destroyed.

Often young or injured animals are brought to wildlife rehabilitators. Animals that must be euthanized are done in the most humane possible manner. If you are concerned about what will happen to the captured animal just talk with our animal control specialist.

5. What Do I Do If My Pet Is Lost?
If you have lost your pet - contact your local animal shelter or city pound.

6. Can I Remove The Animals Myself?
It is highly recommended that only experienced, licensed, animal control specialists only trap and remove wild animals. In fact, you cannot legally interact with wild animals unless you hold a special wildlife or trapping license. Wild animals present threatening and dangerous behaviors, often unexpected, when they are trapped or confronted by humans. Wild animals often carry parasites and diseases that are harmful and sometimes fatal to humans. Please leave the trapping and/or removal of animals to qualified professionals.

7. How long will it take to solve my problem?
It depends on the animal type, and if they are still in the area. It may be as little as 1-2 days or as much as 3-4 weeks. Be patient. Every animal is different. Trapping and removal is a "process" and takes a lot of skill, knowledge, and labor; but the results are worth it.
